probably Green Raydoes not need much of an introduction if you’ve never seen it, whether you know the subtitle translation by heart or not. But let’s say it’s in a certain Rohmer spirit that we screen this film in an artist-friendly space (a space that seems plucked straight from his environment), on a rooftop where you can have a drink and smoke a cigarette. It will undoubtedly be a much nicer and more fulfilling experience than watching it from your couch.

Brooklyn Theater Research Center and Amnesiascope, in collaboration with The Film Desk, Second Edition Olfactive, and Rohmer Fitts, present Eric Rohmer’s THE GREEN RAY. The screening will also feature the launch of Second Edition and Rohmer Fitts’ Le Rayon Vert, a new fragrance featuring pear, green florals, and the ocean’s scents evoking the melancholy of summer.
