EmmanuelBut this is a fresh vision from a Golden Lion-winning filmmaker. Loosely adapted from Alsan’s novel, Audrey Diwan’s film depicts a woman on a solo business trip to Hong Kong who begins a series of encounters, including with Kay, a man who is always on the run. Naomi Watts, Will Sharp, Jamie Campbell Bower, Chacha Hoang, Anthony WongOddly enough, the film missed out on this year’s Venice Film Festival, despite the Diwan winning it a few years back, and will instead premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain this fall. The English-language film is particularly sensual, erotic and contemplative, and the trailer is packed with steamy moments.
