Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD Starring superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas, it released in theaters on Thursday and collected ₹ 95.3 crore on its opening day. The film reportedly collected ₹ 85 crore across all languages on Sunday Sacknilk. Kalki 2898 AD’s impressive cast includes superstars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone along with film legends Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. Disha Patani is also a part of the film. Kalki 2898 AD Released on June 27 in multiple languages.
Compared to previous blockbusters, Kalki 2898 ADThe first-day net collection surpassed last year’s top opener Jawaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, which earned ₹ 75 crore. Jawaan has collected ₹ 640.25 crore nett in India and has collected a total of ₹ 1,160 crore worldwide, according to Saknilk.
In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee gave the film 2.5 out of 5 stars and wrote, “On the acting front, Prabhas leads the way and not just because the film revolves around him. His strong presence works in return. Amitabh Bachchan’s tall warrior of eight-feet, An integral part of the latter’s character, one of the central figures, the eternally brilliant Chatterjee, as a bad guy who shoots deadly laser beams from his fists, has his moments in a film that transcends everything it’s trying to convey about mankind and the dangers it faces from its own malevolent ways.”
Kalki 2898 AD Has a dystopian world. The post-apocalyptic film is inspired by Hindu scriptures and is set in 2898 AD. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin and stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in lead roles.
