Bollywood actors Ajay Devgn and Tabu, who are also best friends, are all set to share the screen. Auran mei kahan dum tha. For those who don’t know, the film charts the relationship between Ajay and Tabu, who were supposed to break up years ago. Shantanu Maheshwari and Sai M Manjrekar play younger versions of Ajay and Tabu in the film. Now, onto the interview News18The film’s director Neeraj Pandey shared how he didn’t choose the actors’ older ages to play their younger versions, as it looked “ridiculous”.
Neeraj said, “We did it only when the story required it. Unfortunately, de-ageing is now too much at the limit of misuse of technology. For this particular story, you can’t age Ajay and Tabu’s characters. 21-year-olds look ridiculous!”
Neeraj also said that this decision to cast younger actors was made from the beginning. “We clearly knew from day one that there would be two different actors to portray the two age groups because that suits the story and I think that’s the beauty of it. People change after 24. Our physical form changes.
Ajay Devgan and Tabu have acted in many films together. The actors have worked together in films like Again Golmaal, De De Pyaar De, Vijaypath, Hakeekat, Vijaypath, Takshak, Bhola and Drishyam. A series of movies to name a few.
Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Auran mei kahan dum tha Jimmy Shergill, Sai Manjrekar and Shantanu Maheshwari are also there. The film will release on July 5 this year.
