A nod to Jaideep Ahlawat’s dedication and commitment. The Razi Actor shed 27 pounds to slip into godman’s shoes in Netflix film Maharaj, backed by YRF Entertainment. Wondering who inspired him? It is none other than producer Aditya Chopra. In an interaction with Aamir Khan’s son co-star Junaid Khan, Jaideep revealed how Aditya Chopra Encouraged him to lose weight. In a Netflix chat segment, Junaid gives a shout out to Jaideep Ahlawat for his “radical physical transformation”. To this, the Jane John The actor said, “This is my first assignment after the lockdown. Aditya Chopra said a beautiful thing, ‘Everyone believes that you will hit it. Everyone believes that you are a good actor. But I think if you try something new it will be different for the audience. So if you lose weight you will look really beautiful. We structure your body that way. I said ‘ok sir’. Exactly I was 109.7 kg. It took me five months to reach 82 kg weight.
Talking about fitness trainer Prajwal Shetty, Jaideep Ahlawat recalled, “I still remember the look on his face on the first day. When we started training, I couldn’t complete my fifth push-up. I was on the ground. And I looked at him and said “I can do that sir”. But in his eyes conviction was much worse. Jaideep accepted the challenge gracefully and lost 8-9 kg in just one month. “But it was very painful. He (Prajwal Shetty) has videos of me crying.
The video was posted a day after Jaideep Ahlawat shared a collage of his before and after versions on Instagram. “From 109.7 kg. to 83 kg. In 5 months. That is the physical transformation of Maharaja’s character. Thank you Prajwal sir for trusting me.
