Bones has auctioned off some of the best props from the series

AS Milled I pointed out that many of the items available were pretty affordable, as far as owning a piece of TV history goes. They highlighted props like Brennan’s watch for $21.99, Booth’s bow tie from his tuxedo for $11.69, and Sweets’ green jacket for $21.99. That didn’t take shipping or fees into account, but still. Fans didn’t need thousands or even hundreds of dollars to take home a piece of “Bones.”

Some fans who have purchased surprisingly cheap items at auction have revealed what they’ve gotten over the years. “Screenbid is still selling ‘Bones’ props, so I got these ‘bones’ screens for just $30!” Reddit user igor6541 revealed on the “Bones” subreddit in 2021. Another Reddit user, findscarlet, They also revealed that they managed to secure a coaster when a conversation about this auction surfaced a couple of years ago:

“I have the placemat that Angela designed for Zach that they pull out of his favorite things box in the final episode of Gormogon. I actually just bought it a couple years ago, so keep checking the prop auction/sale sites, they still have random stuff popping up for sale.”

This type of auction was by no means unique to this show. Studios and networks regularly try to make money by selling off items from popular shows or movies. It’s better than throwing this stuff in the trash behind the parking lot. In 2020, just as the show was nearing its end, Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” held a similar auction via Prop Store. In 2021, Cars from “Mad Max: Fury Road” are also up for auction.. Sure, those definitely cost more than $21. But fans should keep in mind that owning a piece of their favorite show might not be out of reach.

“Bones” is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.
