Alia Bhatt Releases Her Book ED Finds a Home Next to Mother Soni Razdan and Sister Shaheen

Actress-producer Alia Bhatt has added a new feather to her cap. He launched his first book ED Finds a Home at the Storyverse – Children’s Lit Fest in Mumbai on Sunday. Alia was accompanied by her mother Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt at the book launch event. Alia looked like a ray of sunshine at the event in a sleeveless floral printed maxi dress. Alia participated in a reading session for the audience, primarily comprised of children at the event. Excerpts from the book were read by Soni Razdan, Shaheen Bhatt and Alia respectively. After the reading session, Alia interacted with her little fans and got feedback. A video of the event has gone viral, in which Alia is seen introducing the main characters of the book to the audience.

“I’ll stop here. Because then nobody is going to buy this book. This is our main hero and heroine – Ed and in this book a little girl named Aaliyah. But actually her name is Mama,” Alia can be heard saying in the video. The book is about a dog Ed and Alia (a little girl). Alia has superpowers and can talk to Ed. Introducing the concept to the children, Alia asks how many of them have superpowers and can talk to animals. , when a child told her she had a cat, Alia replied, “You’re a great man.”

In the programme, Alia is asked if she has a dog. Alia replied, Yes, I have a dog. A question followed if her dog said anything to her in dog language before arriving at the event. “He didn’t say much. He just looked at me. He’s a little sleepy. But I know he wishes me well. My cat talked to me in the morning, I think,” replied Alia. FYI, Alia’s pet cat is called Edward.

“Ed Finds a Home” is the start of a new series of books in the Ed-A-Mamma universe.. My childhood was filled with storytelling and storytellers.. and I dreamed of one day bringing that child out. Me and put it in books for kids.. I am very grateful to my fellow storytellers Vivek Kamath, @sabnamminwalla and @tanvibhat.draws who helped bring our first book to life with their brilliant ideas, inputs and imagination.. fingers crossed. Alia founded Ed-A-Mamma, a kidswear and maternity wear brand in 2020. Last year, Reliance Retail entered into a joint venture with a 51 percent stake in the apparel label, PTI reported.
