While several celebrities have had a falling out with Kangana Ranaut in the past, several famous actors have come out in support of the actress-turned-politician over her recent slap in the face. For the uninitiated, Kangana recently won the Lok Sabha elections from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh and she had this incident at the Chandigarh airport. Veteran actors Shabana Azmi and Anupam Kher along with Shekhar Suman and his actor-son Adhyayan Suman came out in support of the actor and strongly condemned the behavior of the security guards.

Shabana Azmi took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the matter and said, “I have no love lost for #KanganaRanaut. But I can’t find myself joining this chorus celebrating the “slap”. If the security personnel start taking the law into their hands, none of us will be safe.

Anupam Kher also spoke about this incident recently during an event where he told the paparazzi, “Mujhe bara afsos hua. Ek mahila k saath ek mahila k dwaara jo apne position ka fayeda uthakar is tarah ki harqat ki, bilkul ghalat hai. Iski kanooni karwaayi honi.chahie.has done things like that which are completely wrong, he may have his grudge, which I agree with, but that doesn’t mean he will take advantage of his position.
He continued, “Bohut hi democratic ways hai (there are many democratic ways) to say what you said in the past that worked. But to do such a thing is very sad and sad. Not only because now Kangana is an MP. Or an actress, Kangana is a woman, I think any kind of violence against anyone, forget women, is not right. Trada baat hai (Tomorrow anyone can do this to anyone. And it is extremely wrong)”.
Meanwhile, Shekhar Suman also expressed her disappointment over the incident and shared, “Wah treachery hai, wah toh bohut treachery hai. Bohut hi durbhagyepurn hai. Aesa kisi k saath nahi hona chahiye (This is wrong, terribly wrong. It was very sad. This should not have happened to anyone)”. He added: “No one has the right to do that. It is illegal what he did. He should be punished for this. I understand that he might have some anger or protest in his mind, but his expression was very wrong. It could have been politely said… You can’t raise your hand against anyone like that.” Adhyayan Suman nodded in agreement.
For the innocent, a CISF commandant slapped Kangana Ranaut during the security check at the Chandigarh airport and is said to have done it to teach the actor-turned-politician a lesson because he disagreed with Ranaut’s views on the farmers’ protest. After the incident, the security guards stopped.
