The last two months, when there have been many flops and disasters, have been the only bright spot Srikanth, which goes towards Rs. 50 million marks. The Rajkumar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor starrer is a social romantic sports drama while the Divya Khosla directed film is a dramatic thriller. Both have a different tone and audience base, however both mainly cater to the multiplex audience. While the former brought in Rs. 24.89 crore, the latter collected Rs. 9.50 crores*, and these are sufficient numbers based on star cast, merit and expectations.
On the other hand, Srikanth, which is currently in its fourth week, brought in Rs. 6.02 crores which is also quite a decent number. Just like the other two films, this film also benefited from Film Lover’s Day on Friday, which gave it a healthy push of Rs. 1 million marks. The Rajkummar Rao starrer currently stands at Rs. 47.28 crores and should cross Rs. 50 crores mark on Sunday or Monday.
While last week was good, there should be a spark this week if initial reports and arrests are anything to go by. is dumb There is something to go through.
