“I find stand-up comedy very anxiety-ridden.” Heartbeat is documentary title Group TherapyA film about comedians and mental health, premiering in a few weeks. 2024 Tribeca Film FestivalSo, a trailer was released ahead of the debut: Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat is a global media company creating entertainment at the intersection of comedy and culture, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris. Group Therapy The show balances depth and levity with relatable conversations and witty reflections on mental health challenges. “Sharing is therapeutic,” said Harris, who hosts the show. Group Therapy Featuring humorous dialogue Mike Birbiglia, Nicole Byer, Gary Gulman, London Hughes, Tig Notaroand Atsuko OkazukaBerkeley expertly structures this ensemble’s story as we hear the comedians bravely open up about the connections between their professional comedy journeys and their own mental health struggles. Through candid group conversations, personal confessions and archival stand-up footage, the film offers a revelatory, emotional and hilarious exploration of the many important conversations about mental health in our culture today.
